Tuscan China

Tuscan China, a beloved name in fine English porcelain, began in 1878 in Staffordshire, England—an area famed for its pottery. Founded by the Plant family, the company quickly gained a reputation for producing elegant, high-quality bone china teaware. With delicate floral patterns, refined gilding, and an eye for detail, Tuscan China became especially popular during the early 20th century, capturing the essence of English afternoon tea culture.

By the 1930s, Tuscan was exporting globally and had earned the prestigious Royal Warrant, cementing its place among Britain’s finest. In 1967, it joined the Wedgwood Group, aligning with other iconic names in ceramics. Though production under the Tuscan name eventually ceased, its legacy lives on in vintage collections prized by collectors today.

Tuscan China is more than porcelain—it’s a slice of English history, a symbol of timeless craftsmanship, and a beautiful reflection of an era when tea wasn’t just a drink, but a ritual.
