Myott Pottery

Myott pottery, a cherished name in British ceramics, traces its roots to 1898 when brothers Ashley and Sydney Myott founded the company in Stoke-on-Trent, England—the heart of The Potteries. Known for their vibrant Art Deco designs of the 1920s and 30s, Myott pieces stood out with bold geometric patterns and vivid hand-painted colors that captured the spirit of the era. The company thrived by balancing artistry with mass appeal, offering both decorative and everyday ware.

Despite suffering a devastating factory fire in 1949, Myott rebuilt and continued production, eventually merging with other potteries to become part of the larger Churchill China group. Today, Myott’s legacy lives on among collectors, who prize its expressive patterns, unique shapes, and the nostalgic charm of a bygone age. Each piece tells a story of resilience, creativity, and the enduring appeal of British craftsmanship.
